Health care sector jobs in NJ

The John J. Heldrich Center at Rutgers University released the following news item today.  I thought that it might be useful for our students studying Health Economics.

A New Resource for Health Care Students and Job Seekers
www.njhealthjobs.org is a product of the Central New Jersey Health Care Talent Network (CNJHCTN), a group of individuals representing employers, education, and nonprofit health care organizations in the central New Jersey region (Mercer, Middlesex, Somerset, and Union counties). The Web site is dedicated to raising awareness about the array of entry points into the health care industry and the education and training required by many careers in health care in the central New Jersey region. The focus of the Web site is to provide the most up-to-date, cutting-edge labor market information on 33 specific occupations in 11 job categories in health care that have been vetted and validated by employers themselves. The site includes descriptions of job requirements, employment information, and salary ranges of the occupations, as well as videos of workers in different health care occupations to provide a realistic perspective on what it’s really like to work in a health care job.

www.njhealthjobs.org is not intended to be a comprehensive, final resource for students and job seekers interested in a career in health care. Instead, the purpose of the Web site, and of the CNJHCTN, is to provide actionable information on a selection of health care occupations so that users can make informed and knowledgeable education and training decisions.
